Bdd holds 2 LCK titles, reached the MSI final in 2018, and the Worlds final in 2025
Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong is a South korean professional League of Legends player known for his role as a midlaner for KT Rolster. His competitive career began in 2016 with CJ Entus, playing alongside legendary support Hong "MadLife" Min-gi. In 2017, he joined Longzhu Gaming, where he first teamed up with Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan, and together they won the LCK Summer 2017 title, marking Bdd’s first major championship. Over the years, he also played for Kingzone DragonX, winning the LCK Spring 2018 title with the team.
Bdd has since moved through various teams, including KT Rolster and Gen.G, where he played for two years, including a Worlds run ending in quarters back in 2020 after getting stomped by G2 Esports. He then rejoined KT Rolster, where he played during the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons. He is currently contracted with KT through 2026. Uniquely among LCK players, Bdd has not served mandatory military service due to a legal loophole, which allowed him to maintain continuous competitive play through the 2025 season.
A god hiding in the shadows
Despite not having the high-profile reputation of some of his peers like Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok or Heo "ShowMaker" Su, Bdd is known for his clutch playmaking ability and his proficiency on many off-meta champions, often surprising opponents. He has won the Player of the Split award twice in 2020, earned the Regular Season MVP title three times (Summer 2017, Spring 2018, Spring 2020), and has been named to the LCK 1st All-Pro Team twice (Spring 2020 and Summer 2023).
But despite this ultra-dominant style that allowed him to win two LCK titles early in his career, he has never been able to make a significant mark internationally. Before 2025, Bdd’s best international result was reaching the MSI final in 2018, where Kingzone DragonX lost to Royal Never Give Up, led by Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao.
Throughout his career, Bdd has participated in five World Championships, representing Longzhu Gaming, Gen.G, and KT Rolster. He narrowly missed reaching the World final in 2021, when Gen.G lost a tense Game 5 against EDward Gaming. His synergy with Cuzz, rekindled in 2025, was instrumental in KT Rolster’s surprising qualification to Worlds after a tough playoff series against Gen.G, the giants in the league from that year.
At Worlds 2025, Bdd delivered arguably his best performance yet, earning Sheep Esports’ highest all-time player rating in their two-year history—a perfect 10/10 in the semifinals against Gen.G. His consistent leadership and ability to perform under pressure were major factors in KT Rolster’s run to the final.
After the semifinal victory, Bdd reflected on the achievement in a post-match interview, saying, "It doesn't feel like a reality to me yet." At 26 years old and after nine years of challenges in the LCK and at the Worlds, often in the shadow of great players, here he stands on the biggest stage in the world. His challenge now is to take down the greatest player of all time, Faker, surrounded by the most dominant team ever, T1, in order to immortalize his name among the greatest midlaners in history.
