Cuzz played his 600th game in the LCK
Eleven losses in eleven matches — DN Freecs are on track for a winless split, despite multiple attempts to turn things around. Roster changes in the jungle and midlane haven’t made a difference, and they fell once again, this time to KT Rolster, who now pick up their second consecutive victory. In the day’s second series, Hanwha Life Esports secured their tenth straight win against a feisty OKSavingsbank BRION lineup that ultimately couldn’t overcome the reigning First Stand champions. Park "Viper" Do-hyeon and Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan were named MVPs of their respective series.
A controlled series from KT Rolster
Since the return of Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min, KT Rolster have clearly looked much stronger. After a win a few days ago against Dplus KIA and another today against Freecs, they’re finally finding some breathing room following a string of losses, now sitting at sixth place in the LCK Round 1-2 standings. Game 1 was a complete showcase from KT’s mid-jungle duo, ending with a dominant 22-2 scoreline. Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong stood out once again on Yone, landing a key flank during a fight around the drake.
Game 2 was another stomp, with Bdd once again topping his team’s damage charts, this time on Ryze. Credit also goes to Seo "deokdam" Dae-gil, who went deathless across the series. After trying out Lee "Pungyeon" Jong-hyuk and Bang "DDoiV" Moon-yeong in the starting lineup with little success, Freecs brought back Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon and Lee "BuLLDoG" Tae-young to try and make a difference—unfortunately, without much impact. On the other side, KT seem to have finally locked in a roster they can build around, and these wins could prove crucial in the playoff race.
HLE remain in a comfortable spot
Hanwha Life Esports are probably the second-best team in the world right now, just behind Gen.G. They keep impressing with dominant performances and picks that feel uniquely theirs. Game 1 was a classic snowball from HLE, clean and expected, as they opened the score without much trouble.
Game 2 brought more resistance. Choi "Zeus" Woo-je pulled out Nidalee once again—a pick that’s starting to look like a comfort one for the two-time world champion—while Yoo "Delight" Hwan-joong completely took over the botlane on Karma. BRO held on well in the mid game, first through Lee "Clozer" Ju-hyeon who found a solo kill in lane, and especially thanks to Park "Morgan" Ru-han who secured a quadrakill on Yorick. But HLE stayed sharper overall, eventually closing the game after a strong fight around the drake, where Zeus hunted down every target deep into the enemy jungle.
Tomorrow at 8 AM CET, T1 will face Dplus KIA, with both teams on completely different forms, making the BO heavily favor the reigning world champions. Right after, Gen.G will take on BNK FEARX, where they’ll be the clear favorites to maintain their perfect record.
