The young AD Carry is currently on loan from KT Rolster to BRO
On this fourth day of LCK action, KT Rolster face off against OKSavingsBank BRION in a match that could prove important in the playoff race. Normally, Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon would start as BRO’s AD Carry, but he won’t be eligible to play today against KT Rolster. Due to LCK loan regulations, he’s not allowed to compete against his parent team — Song "Bull" Seon-gyu will step in to replace him.
A rather difficult year
So far, Hype’s year with BRION hasn’t been going too well, as the team currently sits in eighth place in the standings. The young AD Carry, once considered one of KT’s top academy prospects in 2024 and a dominant force in every competition they entered, is now facing a tough reality check in the LCK and is slowly adapting to the demands of Korea’s top level.
Things haven’t been going smoothly for KT Rolster either this year, with the AD Carry position sparking debate throughout the split. The season began with Seo "deokdam" Dae-gil as the starter, but the team struggled to find its footing, leading to his temporary replacement by Park "Paduck" Seok-hyeon — who also failed to impress. Following a few roster adjustments, including the return of both Deokdam and Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min, the lineup has started to perform much better. KT are currently on a three-game winning streak and well on track to secure a playoff spot in the LCK.
