IZI remain active in other esports titles such as SSBU, DBFZ or TFT
On Thursday, IziDream officially announced their departure from League of Legends through a statement shared on X, thanking their fans for six years of unwavering support in the game. The organization has long embraced its southern French identity, striving to nurture future talents by providing a healthy development and working environment.
Though they cease competing in League of Legends, IziDream makes clear that their existence continues. Based in Aix-en-Provence. Founded in 2019, they remain active in other esports titles such as Smash Bros, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and TeamFight Tactics.
A challenging journey
Starting in different French competitions like Gamers Assembly or Occitanie Esports in 2019, they also played in the Open Tour upon their creation. Thanks to their great performances, IziDream rose to the French LFL in 2020 but struggled to maintain their status among the country's top League of Legends teams. They are sadly remembered for a winless 0-14 record during their LFL debut in the Spring 2020 split and never finished better than fifth place in the Summer 2020 season.
Eventually, by late 2023, they were relegated to Division 2 after being bested by Team du Sud, who took their spot in the LFL for 2024. Since then, IziDream has reached three Division 2 finals in two years, losing each time to Ici Japon Corp and Esprit Shōnen — both teams now confirmed to compete in the 2026 LFL season.
IziDream has also played a crucial role in spotlighting emerging talent in the French landscape, notably serving as the stepping stone for Kamil "Kamiloo" Haudegond, who became the very first player from an ERL's second division to move to the LEC in 2025 after an excellent season with IziDream in 2024. Their legacy thus remains tied to their contribution to player development and the French competitive ecosystem.
