"Dardo said to me 'You did your best and I think you got better than last year and since MSI and we really need you now' and he got me a Psychiatrist."
Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek recently came back on X to address the criticism aimed at Fnatic following our latest interview where he discussed his personal struggles throughout the last months of competition. Fnatic botlaner clarified that after competing in MSI, Esports World Cup (EWC) and the Summer Finals, he hit rock bottom mentally, losing self-confidence and blaming himself for his team's losses. Noah admitted he felt responsible for the frustrations of his teammates and fans, even asking to be replaced after the finals.
However, the Fnatic staff and his teammates stood by him during this difficult time. Javier "Dardo" Zafra de Jáudenes, the team manager, reassured him that his performance was good enough and that he had improved. Dardo even assisted his player by helping him to get professional mental health support. Teammates like Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz, Iván "Razork" Martín, and head coach Tomáš "Nightshare" Kněžínek reminded him that the team's success wasn’t solely on his shoulders, offering words of encouragement that helped Noah regain his confidence.
Noah expressed immense gratitude for the support he received from Fnatic, clarifying that the organization did everything it could to help him overcome his doubts. He shared this story to clear any misconceptions about the team's role, emphasizing that he owes his recovery to their unwavering faith and assistance.
