Aiming traded to Kiwoom DRX as Jiwoo joins KT Rolster

Roster moves aren't just continuing in the LPL despite the Summer Split already being underway. The LCK is seeing changes as well, with and set to swap AD Carries. will join KRX, while will move in the opposite direction and sign with KT Rolster, the teams announced on Thursday.

Jiwoo is expected to become KT Rolster's starting AD Carry for the remainder of the LCK Rounds 3–4. His arrival follows Aiming's benching, after which academy AD Carry Park "FenRir" Kang-jun temporarily filled the role. On the KRX side, it remains unclear whether Aiming or will start in the botlane. Jiwoo had been playing only for KRX Academy, rather than the organization's main roster, since the start of the LCK CL Round 3-4.

Jiwoo and Aiming aren't the first LCK botlaners to be traded following internal conflicts. A few months ago, Nongshim RedForce and BNK FEARX found themselves in a similar situation. Nongshim acquired highly rated prospect Nam "Diable" Dae-geun, while FEARX received Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon in return. That swap came after internal issues between Diable and the FEARX organization, ultimately leading both teams to exchange their starting AD Carries.

This time, the circumstances share some similarities. According to KT Rolster, the decision to bench Aiming was made following internal conflicts between players during practice. Sources familiar with the situation who discussed with Sheep Esports have confirmed that a serious conflict took place between Aiming and other team members. While nothing confirms that the two events are connected, some internet users noticed that Aiming had recently unfollowed Gwak "Bdd" Bo-sung on Instagram.

For the team's return to LCK action against T1, KT turned to academy AD Carry FenRir, who impressed in his debut series, delivering a standout performance to defeat one of the league's strongest teams (2-0), highlighted by an excellent Ezreal game. His showing is likely to earn him more opportunities at the LCK level in the near future, given how promising he looked in his appearance.

On KRX's side, the organization acquires a veteran ADC with a wealth of experience, even if he's no longer performing at the level he reached during his prime. At 26 years old, Aiming is set to join the fifth organization of his career. After making his professional debut with Afreeca Freecs, he spent a year with KT before moving to Bilibili Gaming in the LPL in 2021. He returned to KT the following year, then spent two seasons with Dplus KIA before rejoining KT Rolster for a third stint in 2026. Despite a long career and multiple appearances on top-tier teams, Aiming has yet to win a major trophy.

On KT’s side, the organization brings in a promising 22-year-old ADC. From 2022 to 2025, Jiwoo represented Nongshim RedForce across all three levels of the organization's League of Legends system before joining KRX at the start of the 2026 season. After a difficult LCK Cup, Jiwoo started the LCK Rounds 1–2 as KRX's starting AD Carry but was quickly demoted to the academy roster in favor of LazyFeel. During his time with Nongshim, Jiwoo won both the LCK Academy Series and the LCK Challengers League.
