Lithuania is ready to enter the fray as the
2026 Esports Nations Cup regional qualifiers are set to take place from June 19–21. Hailing from the Baltics, the country faces a challenging path ahead in the
Europe East regional tournament, where it will face off against some of the EMEA region’s strongest contenders.
Leading the charge is Žygimantas “
KNOK1” Kriščiūnas, a landmark figure of the Baltic scene. He previously led one of Lithuania’s most iconic
League of Legends teams, Iron Wolves, before going on to work with
in various roles over a three-year span.
The roster representing Lithuania
In
League of Legends, the
Baltics have historically remained a relatively minor region, though surprises are always possible. Established in 2018, the region competed for around three years
before being absorbed into the Ultraliga (now Rift Legends), the Polish ERL. Today, only a handful of players from Lithuania and its neighboring countries remain active, though some still compete across various ERLs.
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, the team will be composed of:
- Toplane: Edgaras "Eckas" Strazdauskas
- Jungle: Linas "Lyncas" Nauncikas
- Midlane: Tautvydas "Toffe" Gegeckas
- AD Carry: Eimantas "Yashiro" Šniukas
- Support: Kristupas "Parein" Danilevičius
Off-Role Players and Free Agents
With a relatively limited player base in 2026, notably due to the absence of a structured path to professional play in the Baltics, it is unsurprising that the country has had to make compromises in order to field its most competitive roster possible. Lithuania will therefore field two players with jungle experience in its lineup.
, the jungler for
, will naturally remain in the jungle role and is undoubtedly the highest-rated player on the team, while Eckas will role-swap to occupy the top lane position.
Although Eckas currently sits at only 100 LP in Master and has largely been inactive, having last competed following the disbandment of Geekay last October, he nevertheless remains one of Lithuania’s greatest historical talents. He has consistently performed in Challenger and has played for several strong regional league teams across the LFL, Superliga, Prime League, and more. This will, however, be his first time competing as a toplaner.
Over the past few weeks, the 24-year-old has been exclusively training the role
in solo queue, primarily focusing on tanks such as Sion, Poppy, and Dr. Mundo.
Joining the two,
—another prominent figure in the scene—will take on the role of the team’s midlaner. Currently playing for TLN Pirates and formerly of BDS Academy, the 21-year-old bi-national Lithuanian-Swedish player has steadily risen through the French competitive scene. He recently secured back-to-back fourth-place finishes in the LFL, while also reaching a peak of nearly 1900 LP in solo queue.
Finally, Yashiro, currently at 700 LP in Master, and Parein, at 1800 LP in Grandmaster, will fill the AD carry and support roles respectively. The former has been active in the scene since before the Baltics were formally integrated into a proper ERL structure, though he has largely been inactive over the past two years, only competing in a handful of off-season tournaments. Parein, meanwhile, has spent the past year attempting to break through the Polish lower circuits, where he performed admirably, but he remains relatively inexperienced in structured competitive environments.
Several Connections Within the Roster
A tightly-knit community, nearly all Lithuanian players who have competed in semi-professional spaces have, at one point or another, played together. With a still-strong LAN culture, particularly around
Comic Con Baltics, most players in the region have either competed alongside or against each other at some stage, fostering deep familiarity and pre-existing bonds.
Notably, all five players have indirectly played with one another at some point, with the most recent Comic Con Baltics featuring three members of the country’s ENC roster.
In 2023, Lyncas and Eckas also notably played together at that year’s edition of the event, although Lyncas was then playing in the toplane. Toffe and Yashiro were also present at the same event, with Parein being the only member of the current roster not included in that lineup.
Team Point Total
Lithuania will almost certainly have to go through the Eastern Europe qualifier, as
the team only holds 250 points across its five players: 150 earned by Lyncas thanks to his top-six finish at the LEC Versus with Team Vitality, and 100 secured by Toffe after reaching the top four at the LFL Invitational with TLN Pirates.
- Eckas (0 points)
- Lyncas (150 points)
- Toffe (100 points)
- Yashiro (0 points)
- Perain(0 points)
Update: Sources have since informed Sheep Esports of the roster's two substitute players. In addition, veteran players Tomas "VeyLot" Čirba (Top Lane) and Saulius "Saulius" Lukošius (Mid Lane) are also set to be part of the roster. The article has been updated accordingly.
