Wolves allow SiuFatBB to explore his options for upcoming season

The journey between Wolves Esports and its In-Game Leader, Pong “SiuFatBB” Ka Hei, appears to be nearing its end. In a message posted on X this Monday, the player announced that he had been granted permission by the organization to explore his options for next season. A member of the team since 2024, he is now expected to bring his time with Wolves Esports to a close after helping the organization achieve the most successful results in its history last year.

At 26 years old, the player stated that he is open to opportunities in any region and in any role except Duelist. It remains unclear whether he will continue to occupy a place on the roster for VCT China Stage 2, which is scheduled to begin at the end of June.

With only two victories during this season’s VCT China Kickoff, Wolves Esports remains one of the last teams worldwide yet to earn any Championship Points toward qualification for VALORANT Champions 2026, which will take place in Shanghai. The organization has historically been confined to the lower half of the VCT China standings, regardless of the year or split. This season has proven particularly difficult, with a winless Stage 1 campaign that yielded only two map victories, followed by another disappointing showing in the Esports World Cup qualifier.

The lone exception to this trend came during VCT China Stage 1 2025, when the team secured a third-place finish and qualified for Masters Toronto. In what remains the only international tournament appearance in the organization’s history, Wolves produced one of the event’s most memorable runs. The team notably eliminated Bilibili Gaming and Team Heretics in the Play-Ins before advancing all the way to the upper-bracket final, where their campaign ultimately came to an end against Paper Rex and later Fnatic.

During those months of competition, SiuFatBB and his teammates had the opportunity to showcase the full extent of their potential before seeing their performances decline in the months that followed. The team eventually finished last in Stage 2 and failed to qualify for Champions. Should SiuFatBB depart in the near future, Liu “Spring” Chun-ting would become the sole remaining member of Wolves Esports’ most recognizable roster iteration.
