No revolution, no radical change of direction: Paper Rex have chosen to approach 2026 by doubling down on the identity that has already defined them. While many VALORANT teams have opted for full or partial rebuilds, Paper Rex are locking in a stable five, prioritising cohesion, shared experience, and a clearer long-term distribution of responsibilities. The team adds only one new player to fill the vacancy left by Patrick "PatMen" Mendoza, within a roster that has already proved itself across multiple VCT seasons.
For the 2026 season, the lineup features Adrian âinvyâ Jiggs Reyes as the new addition, alongside Wang âJingggâ Jing Jie, Jason âf0rsakeNâ Susanto, Khalish âd4v41â Rusyaidee, and Ilya âsomethingâ Petrov. With four pillars retained, invyâs arrival stands as the primary adjustment: a move that reads less like a shift in philosophy and more like a targeted integration to finalise the squad. The objective appears straightforward: complete the team without undermining its foundations, while preserving the flexibility that has long characterised Paper Rex across compositions and map pools.
A roster designed to reach international heights
Historically, Paper Rex have operated around a core principle: several players can recalibrate their responsibilities depending on the map, the opponent, and the game plan. Within that framework, Jinggg and f0rsakeN continue to embody pace and initiative; d4v41 provides valuable structure through consistent utility work and disciplined execution, and something remains a disruptive factor capable of swinging rounds through mechanical impact and versatility across different Duelist profiles.

In that sense, invyâs integration functions as an additional piece within an established ecosystem, intended to broaden the teamâs options while avoiding any destabilisation of the existing balance. From a coaching perspective, Paper Rex also retain a clearly defined structure. Alexandre âalecksâ SallĂ© remains in charge as head coach, while Ashton âWendlerâ Wendler joins the staff as assistant coach, replacing former Fnatic coach Jacob "Mini" Harris.
With continuity both in terms of servers and personnel, Paper Rex will approach 2026 with a simple ambition: to transform a widely recognized performance ceiling into more consistent execution on the international stage, mirroring their victory in Toronto at the Masters, starting with the first major events of the season.
