VALORANT: MARCTYLINHO announces his retirement from professional play

It’s the end of an era for French VALORANT. On June 25, Marcty “MARCTYLINHO” Bienvenu officially announced his retirement from professional play in a post on X, bringing to a close a chapter that spanned nearly five years of dedication to Riot Games' FPS.

Hailing from France, MARCTYLINHO established himself in the early days of the French competitive gaming scene. He began his career in 2020 with Warthox Esports, steadily climbing through the ranks with spells at Team BREF and Sector One. It was with S1 that he first experienced real success, winning VRL France Stage 1 in 2022 in an edge-of-your-seat 3–2 final against Team BDS, a moment that remains one of the most memorable upsets in the French league.

In 2024, MARCTYLINHO joined Joblife, a rising force in French VALORANT. That year, he helped lead the team to back-to-back championships in VCL France, confirming his status as one of the top tier players in the region. His impact was not only mechanical, but he brought veteran presence and resilience to an ambitious roster.

Earlier this year, MARCTYLINHO had been part of DVM Esport, a new contender in the French Challengers League. But when the organization was shut down in April 2025 following incidents between fans at Challenger Day in Evry-Courcouronnes, Team Vitality absorbed the roster and rebranded it as VIT.Revolution. MARCTYLINHO continued to compete under this new banner in what would become the final stage of his career. VIT.Revolution's slot has also been transferred to F9 Eicar.
