TYLOO win nearly half of the honors at the VCT China 2026 Season Awards

TYLOO are currently enjoying their best year on VALORANT since joining VCT China. Having remained around the middle of the standings for some time, the team pushed beyond their previous limits during Stage 2. After claiming their first VCT trophy just a few days ago with a victory over JD Gaming in the final, the team that will compete at Champions as the region's first seed were also recognized this Wednesday.

As part of the announcement of VCT China's individual awards, three players from the team were recognized for their performances throughout the year. Xi Lai Gaming were also represented by two players, while JD Gaming and EDward Gaming each received one individual award.

Having recently won the league and put together strong performances since the beginning of the season, Moses "Splash" Jonathan was named Duelist of the Year, finishing ahead of one of the region's historically top players, Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang. Despite winning Stage 1, EDG are still represented among this year's awards despite their more disappointing performances following their return from the Masters and EWC. The Sentinel of the Year award went to Wan "CHICHOO" Shunzhi.

Xi Lai Gaming were also rewarded for their performances throughout the year, with their star player Teng "happywei" Min-wei claiming the Controller of the Year award, despite alternating between the Sentinel role and that of a second smoker. He finished ahead of his teammate Liang "Lysoar" Youhao in the same category. The Initiator of the Year award went to the team's IGL, Huang "WsLeo" Ping-wei.

Already recognized as the Finals MVP just a few days ago, Sun "slowly" Kelun was also named Player of the Year, finishing just a few points ahead of ZmjjKK. Having joined the team for Stage 2, his teammate Pong "SiuFatBB" Ka Hei was named In-Game Leader of the Year, while the Coach of the Year award went to JD Gaming coach Lee "bail" Sung-jae.

The four teams mentioned will be the four representatives competing at Champions in Shanghai in the coming weeks.
