Tolga āSerinā Ćlmez has reached a verbal agreement with his former LFL team, Galions, after spending the 2026 season in the LEC with Team Heretics. This verbal agreement notably includes a clause allowing the midlaner to keep exploring options in the LEC until October 31st. If by that time, the Turkish midlaner has found no LEC team, he will be locked to play for Galions in 2027. This information was shared by sources with Sheep Esports.
Current Galions midlaner Å imon "OMON" ÅihĆ”Äek is exploring his options in the LEC and is already being considered by a few teams.
A difficult year in the LEC
Serinās first LEC season fell short of expectations, as did Team Hereticsā overall performance. The Spanish organization qualified for the LEC Playoffs only during LEC Versus, before finishing 10th in the Spring Split and ninth in the Summer Split.
Serin also struggled to make an impact individually.
He recorded the lowest KDA and average kills among LEC midlaners in the Summer Split, highlighting the difficulties he faced throughout the campaign. Team Heretics is preparing to rebuild its roster across several positions for 2026, with a higher budget but without Serin. The midlaner will therefore have spent just one year in the LEC before returning to the ERLs.
It is worth noting that Serin was no stranger to the highest level of competition, having already competed at Worlds during his time in the TCL.
A return to familiar ground
Despite his difficult LEC campaign, Serin is set to return to Galions, where he previously competed in the LFL. The move would allow him to return to a familiar environment and rebuild his form in a league he already knows.
Returning from WSCI and set to compete in the EMEA Masters finals next week, Galions are looking to rebuild a top-tier ERL roster for 2027. With several ERL organizations expected to leave the scene next year, Galions still boast one of the highest budgets in the ERLs despite ongoing cuts. The organization is therefore aiming to bring together some of the best players in Tier 2 and is expected to make further changes ahead of the 2027 season.
While Webedia has stepped down as the organizers of the LFL, the league is still expected to exist next year under a new lead.
Team Heretics turn to Jackies
Serinās departure is part of Team Hereticsā plans for the 2027 season, with Jackies set to take over in the midlane. The Czech player is expected to join from GIANTX as the Spanish organization looks to improve on its 2026 results.
The move gives Jackies a fresh start with a new team, while Serin returns to a league where he has experience. Both players will have a chance to prove themselves in 2027: Serin will look to re-establish himself as a top ERL midlaner, while Jackies will aim to show he can compete at an LEC playoffs level with a new team, as Team Heretics look to bounce back next season.
