Sources: marqnue set to join BBL Esports as head coach; McJuankar promoted to assistant.

Streamer and Coach Salih "marqnue" Onaran is set to join BBL Esports to compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024 EMEA (VCT EMEA), according to Sheep Esports sources. In addition to this move, the team has also made the decision to bench Mehmet "Epic" Yıldız and Adil "elemeNt" Maufroid. Juan "McJuankar" Mesa is also set to receive a promotion and become the team's assistant coach.

In the EMEA League's Stage 1, BBL Esports failed to meet expectations. Despite being part of an extremely close group where all five participants ended with a 3-3 score, the team failed to make the playoffs due to poor map scores, eliminating them from contention for the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai. Now looking towards the region's Stage 2, the Turkish organization is looking to make changes to improve upon its past results and surpass its limitations.

Having been a streamer for the first half of 2024, this will be marqnue's first tenure as a coach this year. Still, the Turkish personality is not a beginner in this newly appointed position. In the past, he was most known for his time with Fire Flux Esports and Futbolist, with whom he achieved great results and even attended the VCT EMEA Challengers Playoffs in 2021.

With a new story and challenge ahead of them, BBL and their new coach are now hoping to rise to the challenge and compete against the likes of FUT Esports, which recently dethroned them as the most competitive Turkish organization within the EMEA region.

At this time, the future of Epic and elemeNt remains unknown. The former head coach had initially joined the organization in early 2023, whereas the assistant had only joined in March of this year.
