Sources: JNX set to join Eintracht Spandau alongside PowerOfEvil

Eintracht Spandau has just secured both of its sololanes for 2026. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Janik “JNX” Bartels is set to join the organization and become their starting toplaner in the Prime League ahead of the 2026 season. He will be joining Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage, who will remain the team’s starting midlaner for the third consecutive year.

After spending 2025 building a roster focused primarily on content creation, EINS now plans to assemble a strong roster for 2026 with competitive ambitions in mind. In that spirit, the team has locked in two highly experienced players who have both competed at the highest level in the LEC and LCS. JNX also attracted interest from Joblife in the LFL, though the French organization didn't make an offer to the player.

This move marks JNX’s return to the Prime League, which he previously left in 2023 after several seasons with SK Gaming Prime. He now joins forces with German midlaner PowerOfEvil, who already represented Eintracht Spandau in the past two years and played a central role in helping the team narrowly avoid relegation. Despite finishing tenth in the Summer Split and ending the year with the fewest Championship Points in the league, EINS survived the Promotion Tournament and secured its spot in the league for 2026.

Eintracht Spandau’s early moves are part of a broader wave of activity in the German ecosystem, with several major names already building their lineups ahead of the 2026 Prime League season.

G2 Esports is among those making waves, as the organization prepares to field an academy team in the Prime League. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, G2 began exploring the creation of an ERL project earlier this year, and Germany quickly became the most likely home for their new roster. The team aims to mix up-and-coming talent with LEC-caliber leadership, strengthening the bridge between the regional and European elite scenes. G2’s arrival not only revives their presence in regional competition but also sends a strong signal about the league’s growth and attractiveness.

Kaufland Hangry Knights have also been active early, launching their offseason tryouts with some of the region’s most promising talents. By contrast, other European regional leagues—such as Spain’s SuperLiga—have been quieter so far in the offseason. The German market, led by early movers like EINS, G2, and KHK, has set the tone for a competitive Prime League season.
