FUT Esports will be one of the eight partner teams in
VCT EMEA for the next two years, sources tell
Sheep Esports. The Turkish organization has retained its status
in the new open format after four seasons in Europeâs premier league, where it has established itself as one of the regionâs most consistent and competitive teams despite never having won a title.
In 2023, FUT Esports were one of two Turkish teams selected to join the VCT EMEA partnership programme, alongside BBL Esports. This year, the league featured four Turkish organizations, including two teams promoted through Ascension. From 2027 onwards, however, FUT and BBL will be the only two guaranteed places in VCT and the opportunity to compete in the regionâs premier tournaments.
Keeping the Turkish identity
Few teams across the worldâs four major regions can claim to represent their local scene as effectively as FUT Esports. Throughout their four years in VCT, the team has fielded exclusively Turkish players, maintaining a strong national identity through both good times and bad. With the exception of 2025, FUT have qualified for
VALORANT Champions every year since joining the league. Their best finish remains a seventhâeighth-place result in 2023.
For a time, the organization maintained a solid core built around players such as Furkan âMrFaliNâ YeÄen, Ata âATA KAPTANâ Tan and DoÄukan âqRaxsâ Balaban. After struggling last season and at the start of this year, the team recognised the need for a fresh approach. FUT retained promising individual talents such as Eray âyetujeyâ Budak and DoÄan âxeusâ Gözgen, while bringing in new players who made an immediate impression during their rookie seasons, including Okan âKROSTALYâ Alaçam and, of course, Efe âs0ppâ Tur, both of whom have already demonstrated their abilities on the international stage.
It was difficult to imagine VCT EMEA entering its next chapter without a Turkish organization among its partners, given that Turkish players have made up the largest national group in the league for several years. For all the reasons outlined above, FUT Esports appear best placed to embody that identity. Nevertheless, the team could undergo some changes next season. Head coach Berke â
Vladâ KantĂŒrk recently announced that he was looking for a team for the upcoming season, while every player on the roster except KROSTALY is out of contract at the end of the current campaign,
according to the Global Contract Database. It remains to be seen how FUT will approach the offseason.
