Sources: Cloud9 set to bench Head Coach Immi, promote Veer as replacement
The current assistant coach of Cloud9 will take over as Head Coach for the rest of the season while Immi will be placed on the bench.

As the season progresses, Cloud9 are still searching for the right formula to become a true contender in VALORANT. The North American organization, whose campaign has been anything but smooth for quite some time, is set to make another change, this time to their coaching staff. After joining the organization at the end of 2023, British coach Ian "Immi" Harding will no longer be the team’s Head Coach. His assistant, Wyatt "Veer" Blevins, has reached a verbal agreement with C9 to replace him, sources tell Sheep Esports.
Cloud9 have endured a difficult start to VCT Americas Stage 2, opening the group stage with back-to-back losses to Sentinels and G2 Esports. The team is still searching for its first victory of the split. Having earned just a single win during Stage 1, Cloud9 currently sit on only one Championship Point, the joint-lowest total in the region alongside Evil Geniuses.
Veer returns to a Head Coach role
After nearly three seasons under Immi's leadership, Cloud9 have never truly managed to break away from the middle of the VCT Americas standings. Despite numerous roster iterations, the team's best result remains a fourth-place finish in Stage 2 of 2025. This season, after placing sixth at Kickoff, Cloud9's results have steadily declined, prompting yet more roster moves, most recently bringing Victor "v1c" Truong back into the lineup to replace Jaden "Notexxd" Anderson.
Veer joined the organization ahead of Stage 1 and even briefly stepped in as a player during the EWC Americas Qualifier, replacing Erick "Xeppaa" Bach. Prior to joining Cloud9, he served as an assistant coach for Shopify Rebellion Gold in the Game Changers circuit and has also held Head Coach positions on several occasions in the North American Challengers ecosystem.
The change will take effect immediately, with Cloud9's upcoming match against LOUD marking Veer's first series in charge. The team will need to show a very different face if it hopes to regain momentum before the Play-Ins. At this stage, reaching the Grand Final is now their only path to qualifying for the VALORANT Champions Shanghai.
