SHFT Sheo on the likelihood of being fined: "We didn't do anything criminal. It should be fine"

are out of the LEC 2026 season. With a 1-8 finish, the Swiss organization ends its year in last place, having failed to rebound despite roster changes ahead of Summer. Now, the squad heads into the offseason with many questions to answer about the future of its roster. has notably already announced that he will be taking a break from professional play, while coach Yanis "Striker" Kella expressed a similar wish to take a break from coaching in a Sheep Esports interview.

Amid this chaos, Sheep Esports sat down with the team’s jungler to discuss the end of the season, as well as his future in or outside the LEC. He also discussed the team’s recent onstage pop-offs and shouts, which have now led to the team’s midlaner receiving an official warning, among other topics.

Théo "Sheo" Borile: “I didn’t envision my return to Shifters ending up this way. It’s definitely a smack in the face. I'm very disappointed with the result, but we at least tried to keep a good atmosphere for the end of the split, at least between the players, to enjoy the games on stage. It allowed us to win a game against KC and beat Heretics, so I think it was the most important thing.

Sheo: Everything is relative. I think when you win, you have more fun. Since we had a hard time winning, we had to find something else to have fun on stage. Screaming when we make good plays… it motivates the people in the team, it puts momentum in the game. It can also intimidate opponents, so it has a lot of positives. But between screaming or winning, I think everyone would prefer to win.

Sheo: I don't really know, it's hard to predict. We’ll have to see how the offseason ends up. There are a lot of end-of-contracts this year, so we'll see what happens. I'm confident in my level. Even if I had a complicated end to the year, I think I had a good start to the season. So we'll see what happens in 2027.

If I'm lucky enough to have a LEC offer next year, it'll be up to me to prove that I still deserve a spot in the league and that I'll show that I'm a top jungler in the league.

Sheo: Yes, I wouldn’t be against it. I don't really know what’s going to happen with the LFL, but yes, I could see myself playing in ERLs if I can’t find an LEC team.

Sheo: It doesn't worry me too much. Everyone has to make their own decisions. Even if we're friends and we enjoyed working together, it's still a competition, and if we don't perform, things have to change.

It makes me sad that nuc and Striker—well, maybe not as much Striker—but especially nuc is pausing his career. It’s a bit of a heartache. But I know he'll be very happy as a streamer and that he's going to have a lot of fun, so it could be a blessing in disguise for his well-being.

Sheo: Mentally it was fine. At TH, we didn't have too many promises of results towards the end of my tenure, so it was up to us to try to improve, to work to show a good game. Still, we always reached the playoffs with TH, except for this spring. At Shifters, we failed on this split, but even despite the defeats, we tried to find answers to our problems, but it just didn't click.

Sheo: I don't think we end up in 1-8 by chance, so it must have been a mix of everything. I don't think we were very strong individually, and it didn't click in the team either. If you're not strong individually and it doesn't click in the team, things won’t end up nicely.

Sheo: No, you can always learn from a year. Despite it having been a complicated year, I think there are still things to learn about yourself. How to act in a new group and more. I learned a lot this year.

Sheo: Yes, when we were screaming on stage, I’ll remember that.

Sheo: Yes, I think there is a lack of hype. It would be a new wind of freshness in the LEC.
