LoL: CTBC Flying Oyster completed 2026 LCP roster

After a year that captured the imagination of League of Legends fans worldwide, CTBC Flying Oyster’s 2025 roster is already no more. Between expiring contracts and departures to other leagues, CFO have endured a particularly turbulent offseason, losing many of the players who defined the team’s success this year.

The only team to compete in every international event this season after winning all three LCP splits, CFO concluded its campaign with a historic qualification for the Worlds quarterfinals. With four changes to its lineup, the question now is whether CFO will be able to replicate such an achievement next year.

As fans hoped to see the roster remain intact and take another step forward on the international stage, those expectations were quickly tempered. Veteran support Ling "Kaiwing" Kai-wing was the first to depart, joining Vivo Keyd Stars in the CBLOL for next season. To replace him, CFO opted for two markedly different profiles by signing Kuo "Orca" Cheng-han.

The Taiwanese support, contracted until 2027, will play his first year in the LCP after three years as a professional in PCS, including the 2025 season with PSG TALON Academy. He will be sharing the position with Chiu "2274" Chang-an, who spent last year with CFO's academic team. He will also make his debut in LCP after only one year as a professional player.

Just one day after Kaiwing’s departure, CFO also announced the exits of experienced jungler Yu "JunJia" Chun-chia and the young midlane standout Tsai "hongQ" Ming-hong, who was named LCP MVP this season. Despite the organization’s intention to retain them, the Flying Oysters were unable to compete with offers from the LPL, where both players will reunite at JD Gaming. Their departures signal a significantly different look for CFO going into next year.

To fill the gaps, CFO has nonetheless secured the signing of a recently crowned LPL champion in the jungle, Zhao "Shad0w" Zhiqiang, fresh off a title with Bilibili Gaming. He will be discovering a new tier-one league, as will his new midlaner Lee "Pungyeon" Jong-hyuk, who arrives from Freecs Challengers. His profile was ultimately preferred over several alternatives, including Han "Pout" In-woong (Saigon Dino), Lee "M G" Ji-hoon (Los Grandes), Jo "Roamer" Woo-jin (paiN Gaming), and Tseng "JimieN" Hao-Chun (Chiefs Esports Club).

CFO have also parted ways with one of their two toplaners. With both players out of contract, Hsu "Rest" Shih-chieh has extended his stay with the team, while Shen "Driver" Tsung-hua departs. The duo had regularly alternated during best-of-three and best-of-five series depending on the team’s needs, showcasing different strengths across champion pools. Rest will now be the sole occupant of the role next season.

Despite the sweeping changes, CFO have managed to retain a few key pieces. AD carry Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-chuan, under contract until 2026, will continue with the team. The organization has also extended the contracts of its core coaching staff, keeping head coach Wong "Chawy" Xing Lei and assistant coach Liu "Wulala" Sheng-wei.
