The Grand Finals matchup for the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea, is officially set. On September 12 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul,
secured a 3-1 victory over in the playoff lower bracket finals to advance to LCK Grand Finals, where they will face
for the LCK trophy. With their season coming to a close following today's match, T1 will enter the upcoming 2026 World Championship as the third seed representing the LCK.
The KSPO Dome had long been an unkind venue for Hanwha Life Esports. Ten years ago, competing as their predecessor ROX Tigers, the team suffered a defeat against SK Telecom T1 in the LCK Spring grand finals, and fell to the exact same opponent at the venue two years ago in the LCK Spring lower bracket finals. Today's decisive victory finally snapped their long-standing venue jinx at the KSPO Dome.
The clash between Gen.G Esports and Hanwha Life Esports stands as one of the marquee rivalries in current League of Legends esports. It is the most frequent matchup in the LCK finals over the past three years, and their recent Round 2 playoff series delivered
an intense, historic rush. Gen.G Esports took that series with a 3-1 triumph, and Hanwha Life Esports will now seek immediate revenge.
The grand finals, featuring the contest for both the championship trophy and the LCK first seed at the World Championship, takes place tomorrow on September 13. The match will be broadcast live nationwide through South Korea's broadcast channel, MBC, accompanied by
an opening ceremony and a variety of on-site events.
