The partnership between OKSavingsBank and
BRION comes to an end. Starting in 2026, the team will compete as
HANJIN BRION following the partnership announced on January 2 with the Korean conglomerate HANJIN, which notably owns Korean Air. The organization also unveiled additional partnerships, including apparel brand
DeÉpo for team kits and streaming platform
CHZZK.
This will therefore be the sixth naming in BRION’s history. The team first appeared in 2019 as Brion Blade in the CK. In Summer 2020, they competed under the name hyFresh Blade. It was in 2021 that the organization joined the LCK under the Fredit BRION banner for two years, before rebranding to its most recent name, OKSavingsBank BRION, from 2023 to 2025.
A Mixed Season Ahead
Across these seasons, BRION have never really enjoyed a standout year and have most often been a mid-table or bottom-tier team in the LCK. They finished bottom twice upon their arrival in 2021, secured a sixth-place finish in Spring 2022 before falling back to the bottom in Summer, followed by two top 8 finishes in 2023 and two top 10 finishes in 2024. Their 2025 campaign was not much better either, ending with a fourth-place finish in the LCK Play-In.
For next season in the LCK, HANJIN BRION will field Shin “
Casting” Min-je in the toplane, Kim “
GIDEON” Min-seong in the jungle, Lee “
Fisher” Jeong-tae in the midlane, Park “
Teddy” Jin-seong as AD carry, and Namgung “
Namgung” Seong-hoon as support, all under the guidance of head coach Kim “
Ssong” Sang-soo.
This roster therefore shows a clear lack of experience. Casting has only played a handful of LCK best-of series with KT Rolster, while GIDEON spent a full year with Nongshim RedForce but endured a difficult season. He will be reunited in the midlane with Fisher, with whom he played earlier in the year at NS before Fisher was benched.
Finally, in the botlane, at nearly 28 years old, Teddy is likely playing his final season and will carry the heavy responsibility of guiding rookie support Namgung. HANJIN BRION are therefore clearly not expected to finish in the top half of the Korean league.
