This marks the second time this year that Bilibili Gaming have promoted academy toplaner Yang "
" Wen-Bo following uncertainty surrounding Chen "
Bin" Ze-Bin. The first came back in January, although Wenbo ultimately never made an appearance after Bin retained his starting spot.
This time, however, the situation appears to be far more serious.
Bin has personally announced that he will be taking a break to recover, meaning Wenbo is expected to start the LPL Summer Split for the two-time 2026 LPL champions. But who exactly is Wenbo, and what should fans expect from a BLG roster that was originally built to dominate not only the LPL, but the international stage as well?
According to the statistics available on
Leaguepedia, Wenbo began his professional career in
April 2025 with
BLG Junior in the
LDL, while also representing the organization at the
Asia Masters. That means he has played just
68 professional games before being thrown into the deep end as he attempts to fill Bin's shoes.
His two most-played champions are
Ambessa and
Gwen, with
16 and
13 games respectively. Those are also his signature picks in solo queue, where he has logged more than 4
50 games on both champions.
On the Korean ladder, he is currently
Grandmaster with over
1,600 LP.
His biggest result to date came at the
2026 Asia Masters Elite Invitational Tournament, where he helped BLG Junior reach the Grand Final before finishing as runners-up to
WBG Youth Team.
