On Monday, amid Rocket League’s offseason storm, Karmine Corp co-founder Kamel “Kameto” Kebir reassured fans about the organization’s financial future, saying the club can finally move past years of financial pressure and start reinvesting in its operations. Speaking during a livestream, Kameto said the organization could improve its facilities, expand its staff, and better support its teams.
The announcement comes after years of financial strain associated with Karmine Corp’s entry into the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) by acquiring Astralis’ slot and the costs of maintaining competitive rosters across multiple esports titles. While Kameto did not disclose the details of what he and former CEO Arthur Perticoz described as a “master move,” he said the club no longer faces the same annual financial burden and promised further information in a future broadcast.
Karmine Corp can finally breathe
“We were on life support these past few years, but I can officially tell you now: we’re going to be able to breathe some fresh air,” Kameto said during the stream. “We’re going to be able to have fun again.” The President explained that financial pressure had affected his ability to enjoy competition, with every match feeling increasingly consequential for the organization’s future.
According to Kameto, Karmine Corp had spent years trying to generate enough money to meet its financial obligations while continuing to field competitive teams. He specifically pointed to the burden of the LEC slot, saying that the organization had been forced to find €5 million by the end of each year. Under the original agreement, Karmine Corp paid DKK 129 million for a 66.67% stake in AK-Game SAS, the entity holding the slot, putting the total value of the slot at approximately €26 million.
Kameto also promised improvements to the club’s working conditions. Karmine Corp plans to address problems with its facilities and bootcamp arrangements while adding more staff to support content creation, merchandising, and its competitive teams. The co-founder said the organization would now have more room to invest in its existing projects and potentially explore other games, although he did not announce any new initiatives.

Kameto said the next phase would focus on establishing more stable conditions for the organization rather than simply increasing spending. He emphasized the need to improve infrastructure, provide teams with adequate preparation opportunities, and expand the workforce supporting the club.
A future livestream, potentially including a tour of the organization’s facilities, is expected to provide more details.
