VIT Carzzy: "I would really like to qualify Vitality to Worlds once before I leave"
After Team Vitality’s 3-0 loss to G2 Esports in the LEC Summer Playoffs, Carzzy reflects on the team’s performance, their progress since Paris, and their hopes of reaching Worlds.

Despite coming in the 2026 LEC Summer Playoffs as the second seed, failed to meet expectations on day one, getting swept by the reigning champions in a 0-3 score. Now, doubt lingers over the Hive which moves down to the lower bracket with the bad omen of their previous run in the spring season which ended in a 0-6 score.
In an exclusive interview, AD Carry sat down with Sheep Esports to discuss Vitality’s performance against the Samurais, the positives the team can take from the series, and the weaknesses they still need to address. Carzzy also reflected on the importance of qualifying for Worlds, and Vitality’s potential lower-bracket matchup against .
What could the team have done better in your series against G2? What went wrong in the third game?
Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság: “During the first and second games, we had some really good early games, but we should have pushed our leads way more. If I didn’t get caught with Nashor in the first game, we could have played the following sequences better and probably won. It’s my bad on that one. In the third game, I just don’t like our draft, to be honest. I don’t like that we went for Lucian Milio botlane in such a game. But I also just played kind of bad as well. So yeah.
What did the team do well in the series? Are you going to keep any positives from it?
Carzzy: We were really proactive in the early game. was playing really well—he was probably our best player today, so props to him. Overall, I’m rather happy with what we showed in the Game 1 and 2 early phases. It had been quite some time since we were able to show early-game performances like this against good teams.
Why did you pick Cho’Gath jungle? Was it something you had prepared beforehand, or did you want to play around the Trundle flex and that kind of strategy?
Carzzy: Honestly, we mainly picked it because it’s been played in the LCK. We wanted to try it as well since it looked strong. It’s usually good with enchanters or front-to-back comps since Cho’Gath is quite tanky.
Do you think Trundle is good into Olaf? Better than other picks like Vayne or Gnar?
Carzzy: I would say that it’s about a 60-40 matchup in Trundle’s favor.
Were the issues you showed today already identified beforehand, or did the series expose any new weaknesses that you weren’t aware of?
Carzzy: The issues we had today were some we had before. For example, when it comes to playing for Nash, we aren’t good at pushing before it—someone always randomly dies. It’s an issue we’ve identified before, but we are just not good enough when it comes to playing fast when we are ahead and pushing our leads.
How do you feel you performed today in Madrid compared to your earlier Roadtrip in Paris?
Carzzy: Personally, I think we looked way worse in Paris. Like, way worse. We lost two series then that were not even close, and then we just won a game that should have been lost as well. We did manage to turn around that match against KMOI, but overall, we were way worse compared to our form in Madrid, even if we lost. We have improved a lot since then.
Do you think the packed schedule of travelling, stage games and everything that comes with them has affected the team’s performance or energy recently?
Carzzy: Well, today was a bit different since we were playing so early at noon, but it’s the same for everyone. Overall, though, I think it’s been fine. We haven’t really gotten to travel in recent years, so having a more packed schedule in 2026 is a good thing. Personally, I’m a bit lazy to travel on my own, so it’s nice that my job forces me to push myself.
How motivated are you to qualify for Worlds this year?
Carzzy: The last time the organization made it to Worlds was eight years ago, so I would really like to qualify Vitality to Worlds once before I leave.
Do you have any message to your fans before the lower bracket?
Carzzy: Well, are going to lose against , and we’ll stomp them later [laughs]. Jokes aside, we’re going to be facing MKOI in the lower bracket. We haven’t had the best results against them in best-of-fives, but I think they have been kind of mental boomed lately. We will have to take advantage of that.”
