According to sources, Wolves Esports are expected to sign Kevin "Kevin" Ameye, Leonardo "Catalysm" Ramos and Nik "Sphinx" Azhar for the Rocket League Club Championship. The trio spent the latter half of RLCS 2026 competing under TSM in Asia-Pacific but were released by the organization behind the scenes following the conclusion of the season. Wolves Esports, who were one of the new organizations invited to the partnership program earlier this offseason, immediately enquired about the APAC roster. Catalysm and Sphinx will now go into their third season together, having joined Luminosity Gaming as a duo back in RLCS 2025. TSM head coach Richard "trill." Juarez is also set to join the new project under Wolves Esports.
When Virtus.pro released Catalysm and Sphinx after they earned a top-16 at the 2025 World Championship alongside Gianluca "sosa" Petrozza, the duo formed a team with Kevin for RLCS 2026. The Thai professional, whose singular appearance at an RLCS LAN came at the 2024 Copenhagen Major, was a veteran of the APAC scene having competed in every single season since the region’s entry into the RLCS. The trio won all but one Regional Open event during RLCS 2026, signed for TSM in February and then appeared at all five international LANs last season. Their best result came at the Esports World Cup, where they achieved a historic upset over reigning World Champions, NRG, to place 9th-12th in the competition. Now the trio are set to stick for another season as the leading team from Asia-Pacific.
Wolves returns to Rocket League
Wolves Esports is the esports division for the English football team Wolverhampton Wanderers. The organization has a history in Rocket League, having fielded multiple European rosters from 2020-2022. During this short-lived period, well-known players like Francesco "kuxir97" Cinquemani, Ole "oaly." Doorn and Euan "Tadpole" Ingram competed under the organization. Wolves Esports chose to bow out of the esport following the RLCS 2021-22 regular season, with their final event coming in the Gamers8 2022 European Qualifier.
Since departing the esport, the organization has moved its focus to the Asia region, largely due to parent company Fosun International, a Chinese conglomerate who owns Wolverhampton Wanderers. The organization, which is now a household name in the Chinese scene, fields multiple well-known Asian rosters in games like Valorant, PUBG Mobile, Apex Legends, Call of Duty and Rainbow Six Siege. As part of Epic Games’ expansion of the Rocket League partnership program, Wolves Esports were one of 20 organizations invited to compete in the RLCS Club Championship and are the only invited organization focused on Asia-Pacific so far. TSM, who Wolves Esports are replacing, are now expected to depart after their second stint in the esport having fielded teams in North America, Oceania, and APAC since RLCS 2024.
