According to sources,
FUT Esports have reached a verbal agreement with Logan "
Lj" Wilt, Carlos
"CHEESE." Aguado, and Justin
"jstn." Morales, retaining two of the players that earned the organization a top-four placement at the
Rocket League 2026 World Championship. The trio chose the Turkish organization despite interest from
NRG and
AG.AL. Lj joins the squad having entered free agency this offseason but has yet to officially depart
Shopify Rebellion. The move will bring an end to a two-year partnership with his teammate Jason
"Firstkiller" Corral, with Firstkiller
expected to link up with Massimo
"Atomic" Franceschi and Daniel
"Daniel" Piecenski ahead of the
RLCS Club Championship.
The move comes following Nicholas "
Chronic" Iwanski’s decision to part ways with his former teammates, with FUT Esports announcing his departure on October 3. The 21-year-old
is expected to join his former organization, Gen.G Mobil1 Racing, alongside Cohen "
Tawk" Hawco and Landon
"BeastMode" Konerman this offseason. Head coach of the FUT Esports roster during RLCS 2026, Adam "
adam_baguette" Alexandre,
also departed the organization today following a year-long stint with the team.
North America shapes up
FUT Esports becomes the fourth team in North America on the verge of finalizing their roster. The Turkish organization is
set to join the RLCS Club Championship, having been invited by Epic Games as part of its
partnership program relaunch. Currently, Shopify Rebellion, NRG, AG.AL, Gen.G and Spacestation Gaming have all been invited to field a North American roster alongside FUT Esports in the Club Championship.
Chronic joined FUT Esports alongside jstn in March 2026. As part of a risky gamble to the make the Paris Major and 2026 World Championship, the organization gave up all their RLCS points from Split #1 to bring the duo in, who linked up with CHEESE. The team proved their worth, qualifying for the Paris Major on ranking points before reaching both the Esports World Cup and RLCS World Championship through the Last Chance Qualifiers for each event. They then enjoyed an impressive run to reach the semi finals, jstn’s first top-four at an RLCS LAN since winning the World Championship in Season 8, defeating NRG, FURIA Esports, and NIP to do so.
FUT Esports were forced into a partial rebuild after it became clear that Chronic had agreed a deal with another organization, Gen.G. With other rosters making quick moves, the remaining FUT Esports duo had to assess the market. One of the more promising assets was Lj, who was expected to lose his spot on Shopify Rebellion and become a free agent, with his organization looking to sign Atomic and Daniel. The 21-year-old quickly linked up with jstn and CHEESE, with the team entertaining interest from AG.AL, NRG, as well as FUT Esports over this past week.
There was speculation, if not just hope, from the community that NRG might have been targeting a move for their former franchise star, jstn. However,
MajorRLCS reported that the roster was expected to sign with FUT Esports yesterday and now a verbal agreement has been reached, sources told Sheep Esports. Lj is set to join with two players he has never competed with before, having spent the last two years with Shopify Rebellion and The Ultimates.
