NRG Wins LCS and 1ST seed for Worlds!

In a thrilling LCS Finals match, NRG emerged victorious over Cloud9, claiming the title of LCS Champions. This triumph not only crowns them as champions but also designates NRG as the representatives of LCS and North America's 1st seed at Worlds 2023. Boasting a roster with core members from the old CLG team, NRG has defied expectations and is eager to prove their worth as they enter the global competition.

The LCS Championship is the pinnacle event of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) in North America, determining the best team in the region through a competitive tournament. The winning team not only earns the title of LCS Champions but also secures a coveted spot to represent North America at the League of Legends World Championship.

Throughout the LCS summer split, NRG faced a challenging journey. Joining the league by acquiring CLG between the spring and summer splits, they retained core players Dhokla, Contractz, and Palafox, along with most coaching staff from CLG. Introducing a new bot lane with FBI from Evil Geniuses and Ignar from Dignitas, initial fan reactions were mixed. However, NRG demonstrated through the regular season and playoffs that these changes ultimately improved the team's performance, solidifying NRG's position as a competitive force.

In the LCS finals against Cloud9, NRG encountered a best-of-five match. Despite Cloud9 being the favorites and winning the first game, NRG showcased exceptional gameplay and communication. With the support of their extensive 10-man coaching staff, NRG secured a 3-1 victory, clinching both the LCS championship and the coveted 1st seed at Worlds 2023.

NRG's triumph in the LCS stems from their unwavering commitment to League of Legends Esports and a profound passion for the game. These players exemplify that one's origin is irrelevant; with dedication and hard work, dreams can be realised. Congratulations to NRG on their LCS split and LCS championship. Best of luck to them at Worlds 2023.
