NRG have announced the departure of its legacy
Rocket League roster featuring Daniel
"Daniel" Piecenski, Landon
"BeastMode" Konerman and Massimo
"Atomic" Franceschi. The trio won the
RLCS 2025 World Championship under the organization and established themselves as one of North America’s most successful rosters across a three-year period. The team initially formed under G2 Esports, when the organization signed Daniel and BeastMode from Version1. They went on to win the second Major of RLCS 2024 and earned a second-place finish at the 2024 World Championship before joining NRG for RLCS 2025. Under the new organization, the roster won six Regional Opens, appeared at four RLCS Majors and achieved greatness by defeating Team Falcons in the World Championship grand final in 2025. Results dropped off in 2026, with the team’s last appearance coming at the 2026 World Championship where they earned a top-six.
Head coach Matthew "
Satthew" Ackermann also departs the organization, having been a pivotal piece of the project since its inception. The 27-year-old coach is
expected to be joining up with Daniel and Atomic again next season. The duo looks set to compete at the RLCS Club Championship with Jason
"Firstkiller" Corral
under Shopify Rebellion. The organization have parted ways with Angel "
kofyr" Lopez, Logan "
Lj" Wilt, and Jos
"ViolentPanda" van Meurs over the offseason and have all but finalized their new roster. BeastMode will be leaving the roster altogether. He’s expected to link up with Cohen "
Tawk" Hawco and Nicholas "
Chronic" Iwanski
under Gen.G Mobil1 Racing, where it will be the first time he hasn’t competed alongside Daniel since April 2023.
NRG
are one of 20 organizations invited to the RLCS Club Championship, which starts with the London Kick-Off Weekend in December. As a result, the organization has been busy assessing the market, especially when it became clear that their RLCS 2026 roster was breaking up. Currently,
NRG is closing in on a deal to sign Kenneth "
frosty" Walz, Jayden "
2Piece" Horton, Dylan "
Wahvey" Thanus, and head coach
Adam "adam_baguette" Alexandre. The new roster brings together strong pieces from a number of other RLCS 2026 projects including from the Virtus.pro lineup that appeared at the recent World Championship. Frosty is expected to return to the organization for a second time, having had a short one-month stint with NRG before RLCS 2024.
