"I wish them all the best. I hope they will win" — Caedrel reacts to Witchcraft creation

As four former players have formed a new team, named Witchcraft that is set to compete at the EMEA Masters, the organization’s former founder, Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, has addressed the situation publicly. Asked about the matter by his community during a livestream, he confirmed — as it has already been said — that he is not involved in the project and that he simply transferred the EMEA Masters slot previously allocated to Los Ratones to his former players.

Originally, Los Ratones had been eligible to receive an invitation to the EMEA Masters Winter following their participation in the LEC Versus, alongside . However, after Caedrel decided to bring the project to an end, the slot was ultimately handed over to his former players, who have now regrouped under a new lineup joined by , replacing in the toplane. “Los Ratones technically had an EMEA Masters spot. So the boys and Riot came to me and asked if I was able to give them the spot, and I said yeah sure,” Caedrel explained during his stream.

The British streamer emphasized that he has no direct involvement in the team beyond that decision, though he remains supportive of his former players. “That's the only involvement I had in the team. I seriously wish them all the best and I'll be cheering for them.” He also added that following the end of Los Ratones, he chose to take a step back from larger projects in order to focus more on his personal life and his current content before potentially pursuing other initiatives in the future.

When asked about the toughest opponents the new roster might face, Caedrel stated that, in his view, “KCB and Misa Esports will be their two biggest opponents,” while reiterating that he intends to support them throughout the tournament. With the introduction of a qualifier for the Esports World Cup—open to the two highest-placed non-academy teams at the EMEA Masters—Caedrel also expressed hope that his former players could secure a place in that competition.
