VALORANT: MOUZ sweep Eintracht Frankfurt to claim Challengers DACH Split 3 crown

MOUZ secured the Grand Final of Challengers DACH Split 3 this Saturday, August 16, by sweeping Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0. Remaining undefeated throughout the entire split, the German organization dropped only a single map during the whole competition. By reaching the final, both teams also locked in their spots for the upcoming VALORANT Challengers EMEA, which will be held online from September 1 to 9.

In what turned out to be a mostly one-sided final, the opening map was by far the closest. On Bind, SGE actually reached halftime with a 7-5 lead, before trading round for round with MOUZ on defense. It took overtime to separate the two sides, and eventually it was mousesports who came out on top, taking the first map.

Moving on to Icebox, Eintracht Frankfurt began to fall apart on attack, only managing to secure four rounds. With a comfortable lead at the break and Ilari “iluri” Puranen shining on Sova, MOUZ kept control and closed the map 13-8. Up 2-0 in the best-of-five, Corrode could have been the start of a comeback for SGE, but that hope was quickly crushed. Fueled by an unstoppable David “Fizzy” Figueiredo on Chamber, MOUZ completely dictated the pace. The German roster gave up just six rounds and sealed the deal 13-6, wrapping up a final that lacked real suspense and was firmly one-sided.

Thanks to the points gained from Split 3, and more importantly their qualification for Challengers EMEA, both clubs remain in contention for a spot at the Ascension tournament, which will award two places for the VCT EMEA in 2026. Although they sit relatively far behind in the points standings, there is still a glimmer of hope, but it will almost certainly require a tournament victory, or at the very least a deep and consistent run starting in early September.
