The second round of the
Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 quarterfinals matches have concluded, with
and
advancing further in the tournament over
and
, respectively. Team WE had a close series vs FlyQuest, as they narrowly defeated them 3-2 while HANJIN BRION had a more convincing 3-1 victory against LGD Gaming.
With these results, Team WE remain as the sole LPL representative at Demacia Cup. Team WE previously defeated BRION 2-1 in the Swiss Stage, so this rematch in a higher-stakes scenario should set the stage for an exciting series. The winner of Team WE vs HANJIN BRION will face the winner of
vs
in the grand finals.
It’s yet another international event where FlyQuest lose 2-3 to an eastern team. Previously, they bowed out of Worlds 2024 and MSI 2025 with 2-3 losses against
and
respectively. While the prestige of Demacia Cup doesn’t compare to Worlds and MSI, it was still an event that helped the young FlyQuest roster make a big mark and give hope for the fans heading into 2027.
WE’s jungler
and ADC
had strong performances throughout the series. On the other side, FlyQuest’s mid-jungle duo of
and
Le played admirably despite the series loss.
HANJIN BRION have been one of the best teams at Demacia Cup so far, and they continued to showcase that with an impressive win against LGD Gaming. BRION’s teamfighting and individual mechanics shone throughout the series. BRION’s support
had a standout performance. LGD Gaming’s top laner
played exceptionally well on the Ornn pick in Game 1 but couldn’t keep up that level for the rest of the series.
Despite the loss against Team WE earlier in the event, BRION should be the expected favorite considering their clean performances in more recent matches. However, this tournament has proven to be quite volatile with teams often being inconsistent, leading to a lot of entertaining and chaotic matches.
