The transfer market for the 2027 CBLOL season is beginning to take shape, and one of the moves involves AD Carry Matheus “
” Motta. According to
Sheep Esports sources, the player is expected to leave
at the end of his loan spell and return to
.
RED Canids have decided not to exercise their purchase option for the player, paving the way for his return to Keyd. With Morttheus not expected to remain with the organization next season, the team has already begun exploring the market for a new ADC for 2027.
Morttheus set to return to the organization where he won a title
The move reunite Morttheus with Vivo Keyd Stars. The ADC previously represented the organization and won the 2025 LTA South title with the team.
During his time with RED Canids, Morttheus occupied different positions within the roster as the organization went through a season marked by several player changes across splits.
Vivo Keyd Stars intend to build an entirely Brazilian roster for 2027. After spending the past three years fielding players such as Jeong “
” Jo-bin and Adrian “
” Trybus, the potential arrival of Morttheus would fit into the organization's strategy of assembling a domestic lineup for the next CBLOL season.
RED Canids begin search for a new ADC
RED Canids are already monitoring the market for a replacement for Morttheus. However, the organization is expected to wait until the conclusion of Worlds 2026 before intensifying negotiations and moving forward with the finalization of its roster for next year.
The period following Worlds typically brings significant movement across the League of Legends transfer market, as players and organizations determine their next steps following the expiration of contracts.
In 2026, RED Canids finished as runners-up at the CBLOL Cup, placed third in the first CBLOL split, and ended the second split in fourth place. Most recently, the team qualified for the Demacia Cup Global Invitational, where they finished in 9th-10th place.
The team had to compete in the tournament without starting jungler Eloy “
” Rodríguez due to visa issues. As a result, former RED Canids jungler Gabriel “
” de Lemos stepped in to replace the Venezuelan player.
