Sources: Jun set to join Team Heretics after delaying military service

Yoon “” Se-jun is set to delay his mandatory military service and join for the 2027 season, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. The move would allow the Korean support to remain active in professional League of Legends for another year instead of beginning his military service.

was interested in retaining Jun as sources say that the team made an offer to renew his contract. Despite the organization's attempt to keep him, however, the player is set to turn down the proposal and join Team Heretics.

The information about Jun's move to Team Heretics was first revealed publicly by Antonio “” Espinosa, toplaner for , the organization's academy team. The Spanish player revealed during a livestream that Jun would remain in the LEC for the 2027 season.

Jun's decision to continue competing comes with a one-year delay to his mandatory military service. The Korean support was expected to face the decision between beginning his service and extending his professional career, but he is now set to remain in competitive League of Legends for the 2027 season.

The situation is not unprecedented in the Korean LoL player scene. Kim "" Chang-dong, for example, previously postponed his mandatory military service to continue his professional career, allowing him to remain available for competition. However, both Jun and Canna are now heading in their final competitive year before Korean military service, with no option to delay further.

Jun's departure would come shortly after Adam "" Jeřábek also reported moving to Team Heretics by Sheep Esports, giving the Spanish organization another significant roster change heading into the 2027 season.

Jackies joined GIANTX on a three-year contract and was set to become a free agent at the end of 2026. Although the organization wanted to keep him for another season, the midlaner ultimately chose Team Heretics after lengthy negotiations. Heretics' new project reportedly played an important role in his decision. With both players reportedly heading to Heretics, GIANTX could enter the offseason needing to rebuild two important positions.

Beyond Jackies and Jun, the rest of GIANTX's starting lineup is also set to see their contracts expire in November 2026. The ADC Víctor “” Lirola, toplaner Óscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz and jungler Ismail “” Boualem are all currently tied to the organization until the end of November, meaning the entire starting lineup could enter free agency during the offseason.

Team Heretics are also expected to make further changes to their roster, particularly in the jungle position. Both Spanish organizations have a long offseason ahead, but Team Heretics is opting for a head start as the first LEC team to secure changes for 2027.
