According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Raúl "Hydra" Moreno Valero has reached a verbal agreement with MHSC Esport and will play in the French second division (LFL2) next year. The player also received offers from teams in the LVP SuperLiga 1st division but rejected them in favor of playing for the French organization.
Moving Abroad
The Spanish mid laner recently experienced a year filled with highs and lows. Beginning his year with Guasones, his teammates and him struggled to find their rhythm, which resulted in one of the worst SuperLiga historical records, ending the split at 2 wins and 16 losses. Following this challenging split, Hydra and Guasones
decided to part ways.
In the second half of the year, the Spanish player became a substitute for Movistar Riders, joining a roster that would later become the league's champions before reaching the EMEA Masters finals later on. Hydra's move to Movistar Riders was motivated by the desire to collaborate with coaches Tomás "Melzhet" Campelos Fernández and Jorge "Disgrace" López in order to revive his competitive career. Despite having came close to substitute for the team, Hydra would end up not playing any games for MRS.
As the season concluded, multiple clubs expressed interest in the Spanish mid laner. Despite receiving offers from Spanish clubs, Hydra opted to decline them. Instead, he accepted a proposal from MHSC in the French second division, attracted by the team's promising roster.
Per sources, this development sheds light on the off-season challenges faced by certain SuperLiga teams. Marked by rejections, more lucrative offers from other regional leagues, and an ongoing quest for new talent that aligns with the league's economic expectations, organizations have started encountering issues in their roster building in which even local players seem to find more interest outside of their homes.
