Riot Games announced on October 22 the provisional suspension of Tomislav “” Nanjara, a player for in the French League of League of Legends, over alleged violations of the publisher’s global esports Code of Conduct. The measure follows a preliminary review and will remain in place while the investigation is ongoing. Riot stressed that a provisional suspension is a precautionary measure and does not constitute a finding of wrongdoing.
In a separate statement, TLN Pirates said it had contacted Riot Games after discovering information that could call into question the competitive integrity of certain matches played by its team. The organization said it had provided the publisher with the information in its possession and was fully cooperating with the investigation.
TLN Pirates also confirmed that precautionary measures had been taken within its roster, without specifying their nature. Both Riot and the organization declined to disclose further details while the investigation is underway. Neither statement specifies which matches are under scrutiny or whether the alleged violations took place in the LFL or EMEA Masters.
TLN Pirates enjoyed a strong 2026 season
TLN Pirates joined the LFL in March 2026 following ’s withdrawal and BK ROG’s exclusion from the league. The team quickly established itself as a contender, finishing second in the Spring Split regular season before placing fourth in the playoffs. The organization maintained that form in the Summer Split, once again finishing second and qualifying for the EMEA Masters Summer. Its European campaign ended in the quarterfinals, where it lost 3-1 to MKOI on October 9.
To the best of our knowledge, Thomas’s case is the first publicly announced provisional suspension involving a player from an LFL team in connection with an investigation of this nature. However, Riot has not disclosed the alleged conduct or provided a timeline for the investigation’s conclusion. Thomas’s case is not the first provisional suspension announced by Riot Games in the EMEA regional leagues this season. On July 28, the publisher provisionally suspended Dynasty players David "" Starovlas and Branko "" Simeonovski over alleged Code of Conduct violations, in a separate case involving the Road of Legends league.
