How does the Worlds 2026 Main Stage bracket work?
The Main Stage will use Swiss-format elimination, giving teams a two-loss safety net before being in danger of elimination. Teams that win their opening match advance to the 1-0 bracket, while those who lose will drop to 0-1. This will set another best-of-one between 1-0 and 0-1 records. Teams that win their second match advance to the 2-0 bracket and play a qualifying best-of-three, while the losers drop to best-of-three elimination matches.
Teams with a 1-1 record play each other in the last best-of-ones before the remaining matches stay as best-of-three elimination and qualifying matches. The format gives teams time to find their footing, but becoming complacent could lead to elimination. Losing two series means that a team must win three consecutive best-of-threes to advance to the Knockouts
