CBLOL 2027 Promotion Tournament: Five-Team Introduction

The CBLOL 2026 season is still underway, but the teams that will compete in Brazil’s top league next season will begin to be decided later this month. From September 28 to October 12, five organizations will take part in the CBLOL 2027 Promotion Tournament, with a spot in Brazil’s premier League of Legends competition on the line.

The tournament brings together , the current CBLOL Guest Team, and four representatives from the Tier 2 scene: and from Brazil’s Circuito Desafiante, as well as 9z Globant and Golden Lions, the respective champions and runners-up of the South Regional League. LØS will face an additional challenge during the tournament, as the organization will have to compete in the Promotion while simultaneously making its playoff run in the CBLOL and fighting for the title.

LØS enters the Promotion as the CBLOL’s Guest Team and will have to defend its spot in Brazil’s top league to remain in the competition in 2027. The situation makes for a particularly busy end to the season, as the organization will have to balance both tournaments within a tight schedule.

The team also brings international experience to the Promotion, with several players who have been part of LØS’ campaign throughout the season. Support Gabriel “Ackerman” Aparicio, for example, will be competing in his second consecutive Promotion Tournament.

Estral Esports enters the Promotion as the first seed from Brazil’s Circuito Desafiante after an ultra-dominant run through the Tier 2 competition. The team won the tournament without dropping a single map, earning its place in the Promotion and a chance to reach the CBLOL.

Alongside its strong results, Estral also boasts a player with extensive international experience. Toplaner Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau, a multiple-time LEC and LCS champion, is part of the roster looking to take the organization to Brazil’s top league.

KaBuM! IDL will be Brazil’s second Circuito Desafiante representative in the Promotion. The organization finished the competition as runners-up and will now look to complete its return to the country’s top level.

KaBuM! is a four-time CBLOL champion and will now attempt to return to the competition’s elite after its run through the Tier 2 scene. The roster also features Daniel “Grevthar” Ferreira, a two-time CBLOL champion with RED Canids, who currently leads the team in the midlane.

Representing the South Regional League, 9z Globant enters the Promotion as the region’s champion. The Argentine organization secured the title and will now have the opportunity to fight for a place in Brazil’s premier competition against teams from the CBLOL and Circuito Desafiante.

Golden Lions completes the field as the Liga Regional Sul runner-up. The Peruvian organization secured its place in the Promotion by reaching the regional final and will now have a chance to fight for a spot in the CBLOL 2027.
