Earlier this year, Riot Games announced that eight organizations would be partnered in each of the four regions of its
VALORANT Champions Tour. Ahead of the upcoming season, the North American publisher has therefore reshuffled the deck, introducing a new format with open qualifiers and, most notably, reducing the number of partnered organizations from ten to eight. In this context,
Sheep Esports has started reporting, according to sources, on the organizations accepted by Riot Games for
VCT EMEA, VCT Pacific, VCT Americas, and VCT China.
It is worth noting that non-partnered teams will not necessarily leave the game, particularly as the more open circuit gives successful projects the opportunity to qualify for international LANs and earn significant revenue from Riot. However, even though partnered organizations are not guaranteed a place in the various Cups or LANs under the new format, they are still guaranteed a baseline of revenue from the publisher and will receive in-game skins, as in previous years.

EDward Gaming, the 2024
VALORANT World Champions, will retain their partnership in
VCT CN for 2027, as will JD Gaming and TYLOO, both of whom qualified for Champions Shanghai despite inconsistent results. XLG Esports will also join the partnered lineup after winning Ascension in 2024 and competing at every international LAN since Masters Toronto 2025. The organization will move from a guest slot to a two-year partnership. Weibo Gaming is also expected to secure a spot, marking its return to the partnered circuit after re-entering
VALORANT in early 2026.
With two new organizations joining and the number of partnership slots falling from ten to eight, FunPlus Phoenix, Nova Esports, Titan Esports Club, and Wolves Esports will lose their status for the 2027-2028 seasons. Dragon Ranger Gaming, which held a guest slot like XLG Esports, has also been left out. Among the departing organizations, Wolves stands out following its surprise run at Masters Toronto 2025.
