Riot Games has started revealing cards from Riftbound: Radiance, the fifth set of its League of Legends trading card game. The expansion is scheduled to launch on October 23, with the preview season running through October 10.

Radiance will contain 180 cards, including 66 Showcase cards, and introduces nine new Legends, three new mechanics, a new Equipment Unit card type, and the Bomb token. Riot has also confirmed a new Ultimate Rare treatment for the set. The first wave of reveals has already introduced several new Legends, Champion Units, spells, Gear cards and a Battlefield. What are Radiance's new mechanics?

Radiance introduces three new keywords:

Deploy allows certain Gear cards to be played directly to a Battlefield. However, when an opponent holds that Battlefield, the Gear is destroyed.
Show Off lets a player reveal a card from their hand or choose a qualifying friendly card already in play to unlock an additional effect.
Disarm triggers when the Unit attacks and reduces an enemy Unit's Might for the turn.
