VALORANT - VCT China: Masters Toronto LB Finalists Wolves Esports Lose to All Gamers, Winless in 2025

    VALORANT

    VCT CN

    7/18/2025 - 2'

Only 6 rounds won across both maps

Surprise team of the VALORANT Masters Toronto with their third-place finish after a loss to Fnatic in the lower bracket final, Wolves Esports has definitely struggled to maintain momentum with a far-from-smooth return to competition. The VCT China, which began on June 3, has so far seen Pong “SuiFatBB” Ka-hei and his teammates suffer heavy defeats.

Already defeated in their Stage 2 opener by FPX in two maps, 13-5 and 13-7, it was ultimately the match against All Gamers on Friday, June 18, that buried Wolves’ early split hopes. AG completely crushed them, allowing only six rounds across the entire series. On Bind, the first map of the Bo3, Xin “Spitfires” Mingyan dominated on Yoru with 23 kills and only 8 deaths, leading his team to a 13-2 win. The Chinese Duelist was even named MVP of the match.

    First win in 2025

Wolves were nearly just as invisible on Corrode, with only Liu “Spring” Jiunting managing to end the map with a positive KDA. On the other side, it was Chinese Controller Huang “K1ra” Zhihao who took the lead, helping his team secure their first win of 2025 by closing the series with a decisive 13-4, resulting in a clean 2-0 sweep.

All Gamers had not won a single match since the start of the season, and it was finally against the Toronto surprise team that they got on the scoreboard—against completely absent opponents. Previously mid-table in 2024, AG had failed to find the right formula until this Friday, finishing last in all four competitions they played this year.

For Wolves, the next match is scheduled for this Sunday, against XLG—the #1 seed from the VCT CN at the Masters, after finishing first in Stage 1. So far, they’ve only played one match, which they won 2-1 against All Gamers. A loop that will come to an end this weekend, to see whether Wolves can still hold on to the hope of making it out of their group in Stage 2—and keep their dream alive of qualifying for Champions Paris this September.
