Champions to run from September 12 to October 5

The Arènes d’Évry-Courcouronnes, home of the Karmine Corp, are about to gain new prominence in the global esports landscape. Just three weeks ago, the “Blue Wall” welcomed both the Challenger Day and the LFL Days to its stadium—major events featuring the eight teams of the French VALORANT Championship and the ten top-tier League of Legends organizations in the country.

According to Sheep Esports sources, this time, it is a global competition that is set to take up residence in the domain of Kamel “Kameto” Kebir: the Champions (September 12 to October 5). Riot Games’ FPS 2025 World Championship will, sources say, be hosted almost in full at the Arènes, where KC was named resident club in May 2024. The grand final, however, is expected to be held at the Accor Arena in Bercy.

    An Ideal Capacity

Beyond its association with the country’s most popular club, the Arènes offer a seating capacity of 2,200—making them a compelling middle ground for hosting nearly a month of high-level competition. This is significantly larger than the Riot Arena in Berlin, whose limited capacity has frequently been criticized, particularly during the Play-In and Swiss Stage of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship. At the same time, the Arènes remain smaller—and therefore considerably more financially viable—than a venue of the scale of the 20,000-seat Accor Arena.

Bercy itself is a landmark of French esports, having hosted major events such as the 2019 League of Legends Worlds Final and the 2023 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major. More broadly, France stands at a crossroads of multiple major esports scenes in 2025, with the country also set to host the Fortnite and Rocket League World Championships in Lyon this September, followed by EVO in Nice in October.
