Gabriël “
” Rau is in negotiations with
RED Canids for the 2027 CBLOL season, according to sources from
Sheep Esports. The Belgian-Brazilian veteran is negotiating to take over the jungle role, a position he has played before in his career, even though most of it was spent in the top lane.
Bwipo was playing for Estral Esports, the Mexican organization that won Circuito Desafiante Split 2 and missed out on the CBLOL 2027 after losing in the Promotion Tournament. According to sources, Estral is set to release all of its players for free, which leaves the player available in the market.
LOUD, the 2026 CBLOL Cup champions and third place in Split 2, was also contacted by the player, according to sources. The top laner is said to have offered to play the jungle position as well.
A top laner who has played jungle
At 27 years, Bwipo has one of the most complete careers among Western players. He joined Fnatic in 2018 and was a world runner-up that same year. In 2021, Fnatic itself moved him to the jungle, a role swap that lasted only that season. He then played for Team Liquid in 2022 and for FlyQuest in 2024 and 2025, where he won the LCS in 2024 and the LTA North in 2025, and also reached fifth place at Worlds.
In 2026, he played for Witchcraft in the NLC and as a jungler at Forsaken before joining Estral in July. As
Sheep Esports previously reported, he signed as a top laner, despite his competitive history in both positions.
With Bwipo, Estral finished the Circuito Desafiante Split 2 regular season unbeaten and swept
3-0 in the final. In the Promotion Tournament, the team beat 9z Globant 3-0 but lost 3-0 to
in the upper bracket final. In the lower bracket, it fell 3-2 to KaBuM!, who then lost the grand final to LOS. As a result,
LOS kept its guest spot for 2027.
RED’s situation
RED had a season of ups and downs in 2026. The team was CBLOL Cup runner-up, finished Split 1 in third and Split 2 in fourth.
Sheep Esports reported that the organization was
considering not keeping jungler Eloy “
STEPZ” Rodríguez for 2027 and was looking at the market for the position, with Bwipo’s name appearing in that context.
