The veteran of the Americas region may have to find a new organization for the 2027 season. Under contract with
KRÜ Esports until the end of 2027, Matias "
Saadhak" Delipetro announced on X on Thursday that he had been allowed to explore his options for the 2027 season. After just one year with the Argentine team, the player could therefore already be on his way out.
At 29 years old, Saadhak recently ended his season on a disappointing note, with his team being eliminated early in the
VCT Americas Stage 2 Play-Ins. He concludes a difficult year marked by numerous twists and turns, at the end of which the team failed to qualify for an international tournament.
One year and then gone
A World Champion with LOUD in 2022, Saadhak has struggled to find convincing Tier 1 results in recent years. After moving to EMEA to join Karmine Corp in 2025, he returned to the Americas region following an unproductive season in Europe. Reunited with his former LOUD teammate Felipe "Less" Basso, all of the team's players encountered visa issues at the beginning of the year, preventing them from participating in Kickoff.
After that, the team made a much stronger start to Stage 1, finishing first in their group before collapsing in the playoffs against G2 Esports and then NRG. The team subsequently went through a string of poor results leading into the Stage 2 Play-Ins, where, despite showing some improvement, the challenge still proved too great for them to reach their goal.
These first social media posts indicate that the offseason has already begun in the region. Several players from teams whose seasons have already ended have also announced that they are LFT. This includes Conner "GLYPH" Garcia and Maximilian "Demon1" Mazanov from ENVY, as well as Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen, a former Masters winner and Champions finalist who recently joined Sentinels as a stand-in. The offseason could also prove very eventful depending on which teams are selected for the partnership program and which are not.
