Eintracht Frankfurt Esports renewed the contracts of two of its longest-serving players. Following the one-year extensions, Alessio "
musashi" Xhaferi will spend almost three full years with the club, while Luca "
azury" Sammer will surpass the three-year mark.
This is a great sign for the roster, especially as the organization is still in the run for the partnership slot for next year. Fans will get their first look at the full Eintracht Frankfurt roster at Intel Monsters Reloaded, with
Pontus "Zyppan" Eek being the only new addition. He will replace Ondřej "
MONSTEERR" Petrů for at least the event.
A great end of 2026
This year has been a successful one for Eintracht Frankfurt.
The organization reached the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs before
falling to Team Liquid in their first game. However, each player showed their level and, most importantly, proved that they belong in Tier 1.
In an interview during Stage 2, musashi even admitted that the team had been beating almost everyone in scrims and that they finally had the chance to show their true level, which had been hidden because of the franchise system.
With the roster almost unchanged and Zyppan bringing tons of experience, Eintracht Frankfurt will now look to build on what they achieved in 2026. The organization is also aiming for the partnership slot, with its recent performances and growing influence in the German scene putting it in the conversation.
Intel Monsters Reloaded as a test
The upcoming months will therefore be an important test for the team. With most of the roster staying together, the players will have the opportunity to build on the chemistry developed throughout 2026 rather than starting from scratch. Intel Monsters Reloaded will be the first chance to see how Zyppan fits into the system and if he’s the right choice for next year, but the real challenge will come once the 2027 season begins.
After proving themselves against established Tier 1 opposition, Eintracht Frankfurt now have to turn that promising run into consistent results and establish themselves as a consistent presence at the top level of European
VALORANT.
