It's official: after announcing
the promotion of Jeon “Siwoo” Si-woo and the return of Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee,
DPlus KIA have their full roster for next season. Indeed, there are no changes in other positions for the 2020 world champion organization, as revealed in the roster presentation video. Dplus KIA are on track for the 2025 season with five players well-known to the organization.
Aside from the new arrivals on the toplane and in the support positions, who are not so new, Dplus KIA have put their faith in their former players and have re-signed for a second year. Indeed, Siwoo was already part of the organization, playing for DK Challengers, and BeryL was obviously part of the 2020 World Champion roster. They will be joined by the
2024 Rookie of the Year , Choi "
Lucid" Yong-hyeok, in the jungle.
After a more than satisfactory first year, as evidenced by the award he received, Lucid will enter 2025 with even greater confidence, given that he even had the opportunity to gain international experience by securing a ticket to the Worlds 2024. DPlus KIA were eliminated from the Swiss Stage with a 2-3 finish, a disappointing result especially for its star player, Heo "ShowMaker" Su.
The 2020 World Champion is hoping for better results next year, improving on the two 4th-place finishes achieved at Spring and Summer Split 2024, but above all putting on a better show internationally. The team is also keeping its ADC, Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram, on the botlane, who this time will have to deal with someone far more seasoned than his former partners: BeryL.
The Korean organization thus ends its offseason with five players, all of whom have worn the team jersey before, and a new coaching staff comprising Bae
“Bengi” Seong-woong, Ha “Hachani” Seung-chan, Lee “PoohManDu” Jeong-hyeon and
Kim “Khan” Dong-ha. DPlus KIA's itinerary is all mapped out, and it remains to be seen whether the team will reach its destination thanks to these changes.
