LCS Summer Split 2026 Team of the week 5

After five weeks of intense competition, the playoff picture of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Summer Split has been decided. Week 5 featured the matches between the bottom-half teams fighting for the two remaining playoff spots.

Due to this week's special circumstances, Sheep Esports' team of the week won't adhere to the usual restriction of two players per team. Week 5’s Team of the Week is comprised of top laner Jeong “" Eon-young, jungler Ham “" Yoo-jin, mid laner Song “" Su-hyeong, bot laner Cho “" Min-seong, and support Michael "" Luu. HamBak becomes the first jungler from the current Summer Split to be crowned Most Valuable Player (MVP).

You can always count on Impact’s veteran presence when the stakes are the highest and performing is a must. Sentinels' slingshot to the top of the standings can be attributed to the team's newfound stability and surging confidence. The Korean is leading the Society's second wind, especially after his Week 5 performance. The top laner averaged just above a death per game throughout two series. He created openings for his team with K'Sante and Sion, and even sprinkled a couple of carry performances picking Kled and Rumble.

Sentinels' jungler HamBak has quietly ramped up his level across the course of the Summer Split. After a massive victory against LYON, the Society came to Week 5 with the task of excelling against their counterparts, eager to reach the playoffs. The Korean was the shiniest star, crowning his performance with a perfect week and a 78% Kill Participation across both series, earning him the MVP award. Against FlyQuest, he piloted Jarvan IV and Xin Zhao to secure the series. HamBak showed his champion pool by playing Trundle and Lee Sin against Disguised.

The current Summer Split has been a roller coaster for FlyQuest, but there's one singular constant across the team: Quad. The Korean mid laner has been somewhat consistent as he tries to help the team steer back to the winning ways it had at the start of the season. The high-stakes match against Sentinels went awry, as FlyQuest stumbled to a 0-2 loss and Quad's Azir and Syndra weren't enough. The match against Dignitas became a win-or-bust series, and Quad rose to the challenge. The mid laner found crucial plays with Orianna and Azir to win the series.

For the second consecutive week, Rahel was chosen as the best-performing bot laner in the LCS thanks to his incredible performances against FlyQuest and Disguised. The Sentinels' player died only twice across four games, once in each game against FlyQuest. His Ezreal has ascended into legendary status, dying only once in his last three games and averaging 6,66 kills per game. Caitlyn was the champion he piloted for Game 2 against FlyQuest, another staple pick for the Korean. Rahel topped the damage chart with Yunara in his last game against Disguised.

The water level around FlyQuest has risen to their neck, and the rookie roster must have a statement week if they plan to follow their start-of-year goal, so it's time to rise to the occasion. The series against Sentinels could define the team's ceiling or force a make-or-break series against Dignitas. Even if their week wasn't perfect, Cryogen performed impressively across the week's series. Unfortunately for FlyQuest, Sentinels prevailed, but the rookie support had a decent series. With no time to turn the corner, Cryogen racked up close to 90% Kill Participation and helped his team secure a playoff spot.
