The LCK 2026 Season Playoffs will take place from August 29 to September 13 in a double-elimination bracket, with the top two teams, Gen.G and , starting directly in Round 2. The competition will kick off with facing on August 29, followed by taking on the following day. will then get to choose one of the two winners, while the other will face HLE.

The entire playoff stage will be played in best-of-five series, with the top four teams qualifying for the World Championship Main Event in the United States. The teams finishing in fifth and sixth place will instead qualify for the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026. This means that all teams making the LCK playoffs will go on to compete in another tournament after the LCK season.
Contested Playoffs For This Year
While Gen.G's dominance has been undisputed over the past few years, briefly interrupted by HLE's Summer 2024 victory, this year's playoffs are much more contested, with no team emerging as a clear favorite. Gen.G and HLE are naturally at the top of the list after convincing regular-season performances, but every team in the Legends Group has suffered at least two losses during Rounds 3 and 4.
As is often the case in the LCK, we have a clear top four, and this time around, the gap has rarely looked more defined. After a relatively close Play-In, KT and BFX are clearly the weaker links in these playoffs. However, just like last year, a surprising KT side should not be underestimated. T1 are in the top four, and while the six-time World Champions have not won an LCK title since Spring 2022, they should by no means be counted out.
DK have been the strongest team in the Summer Split so far, winning six out of eight best-of-three series in the Regular Season, and will pose a serious threat to the rest of the field. Despite the competitive LCK landscape, Gen.G remain the favorites to go back-to-back, while MSI champions HLE could very well play the role of spoiler. Having already qualified for Worlds, the pressure on their shoulders is naturally lower.
