The inaugural World Star Challengers Invitational is fast approaching, set to bring together the most promising Tier-2 talent from across the globe on the international stage. With regional leagues wrapping up their qualifiers, the LCK Challengers League has officially confirmed its four representatives:
T1 Esports Academy,
KT Challengers,
DN SOOPers Challengers, and
Dplus KIA Challengers.

secured their berths by clinching high-stakes playoff seeds. Meanwhile,
had already punched their ticket early as the region's first seed, courtesy of their title run at Asia Masters 2026. The LCK CL playoffs are currently underway, broadcast on non-LCK broadcast days as the postseason unfolds.
Chasing Dominance on the Global Stage
Having never dropped a Tier-2 Asian title since 2023, the LCK CL enters the globally expanded WSCI with eyes firmly set on the inaugural trophy. In the tournament's predecessor, the Asia Star Challengers Invitational, DRX Challengers lifted the trophy in 2023 before KT Challengers followed suit in 2024. Following the competition's rebrand to Asia Masters in 2025, T1 Esports Academy and Dplus KIA Challengers claimed consecutive championships to extend the region's undisputed reign.
This year, the LCK CL features one of its most refreshed rosters in recent history, driven by a heavy wave of promotions from academy lineups. Despite the roster turnover, the league's high ceiling remains undeniable, spearheaded by prospects like Kim 'Sharvel' Dan-woo, Park 'Bluffing' Gyu-yong, and Park 'Fenrir' Kang-jun, all of whom proved their caliber with Tier-1 LCK call-ups throughout the season.
Taking on the rest of the world, however, presents an entirely different challenge. Raw individual talent will not be enough against battle-tested squads from deeply established independent ecosystems like EMEA and the NACL. Still, with South Korea heavily expected to host the tournament on home soil, the LCK CL enters the event as the clear team to beat in the hunt for the inaugural international crown.
