Lj" Wilt spoke with
Sheep Esports at the end of the day. The 21-year-old discussed Shopify Rebellion’s preparation for the event, what went wrong against Man City and having to face regional rivals
NRG.
What was it like preparing for the World Championship?
Logan "Lj" Wilt: “We bootcamped for about a week. It's Worlds so we’re taking everything super seriously, scrims are intense and we’re grinding the game. I think all of us are at our highest capacity for a minute. We’re grinding. We want it bad but its tough, the pressure is a lot and everyone wants to do well. We’re trying our best.
Unfortunately you had to bounce back from an early loss. What was the conversation like with ViolentPanda and the team to regroup to come back and get a win in the second matchup?
Lj: We just forgot about it honestly. We knew it just wasn’t our series, it happens. We need a reset after that and there’s not much more to say. We didn’t play good, we didn’t play our game and just got to reset.
You guys have NA #1 and NA #2 going into each other in the group stage. What are your thoughts on the group setup?
Lj: Playing NRG in groups is kind of funny. We play each other a lot, it's our rival in North America. It's going to be a tough match, but we scrim them so much we know how to play against them. It just comes down to whoever shows up on the day.”
