Sources - VALORANT: PROFEK set to join Team Vitality in the VCT EMEA

After the failure of its “super team” project last year, Team Vitality is continuing its roster rebuild ahead of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA 2026 season. The French organization appears to be structuring its lineup around former BBL Esports members. As previously reported by Sheep Esports, the Bees are set to bring in Gregor “PAL” Morton as their new head coach next year — and one of his players from 2025 is reportedly following him in this new journey.

That player is Dawid “PROFEK” Święć, the Polish Controller who represented BBL Esports throughout 2025. He will continue to work under PAL’s guidance next season by joining Vitality. Given BBL’s impressive form toward the end of the year, this move appears to be a smart attempt to capitalize on the strong synergy and confidence the Turkish organization had built. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, PROFEK will be one of the key additions to help Vitality construct its 2026 roster around Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev and Ștefan “Sayonara” Mîtcu.

BBL’s 2025 campaign nearly ended in storybook fashion. After finishing 5–6th at the Kickoff, the Turkish squad continued to raise its level throughout the year. They went on to place 4th in Stage 1, and then climbed to an impressive 3rd place finish in Stage 2, falling just one series short of qualifying for Champions Paris.

During Stage 2, BBL showcased remarkably high-level play, taking down several of the EMEA region’s strongest teams. Their group stage performance was decent — a 3–2 record with wins over FUT, M8, and Vitality — but their playoff run was where they truly shined. In their opening match, they faced the eventual Champions 2025 finalists, Fnatic, and sent them to the lower bracket with a 2–1 victory. BBL then swept Team Heretics 2–0 to reach the Upper Final before falling to Team Liquid (1–2) and GIANTX (0–3).

As a result, both PAL and PROFEK came incredibly close to qualifying for their second and first VALORANT Champions appearances, respectively. Following this breakout run, many top-tier organizations reportedly expressed interest in BBL’s players. Ultimately, it was Team Vitality that secured the signatures of both individuals — a move aimed at turning the page after a turbulent 2025 season.

Toward the end of Stage 2, PROFEK faced allegations. The Polish player was accused of having made racist remarks back in 2022. Riot investigated the matter and ultimately decided to drop the charges, stating that the incident occurred before the player became a professional, and therefore did not fall under the jurisdiction of the Riot Games Global Code of Conduct for Esports.

In stark contrast, Vitality’s 2025 season went downhill after a promising start. Felipe “Less” Basso and his teammates began the year strong, winning the VCT EMEA Kickoff and earning a spot at Masters Bangkok, where they finished 4th after falling to G2 Esports and T1 in the playoffs.

From there, however, things spiraled. The team made its first roster change ahead of Stage 1, replacing Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko with Clément “CyvOph” Millard. The adjustment didn’t pay off — Vitality struggled and finished 7–8th, being eliminated in the first round of playoffs by FUT.

Heading into Stage 2, Vitality made yet another overhaul, changing CyvOph and Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel for Bartosz “UNFAKE” Bernacki and Blendi “kovaQ” Kovaci. But the results were identical: another 7–8th place finish, marking the end of a frustrating campaign for the French organization.

For 2026, Vitality aims to build on existing chemistry by surrounding their core duo, Derke and Sayonara, with players who already have established synergy — namely PAL and PROFEK. On paper, the plan looks well thought out, though it remains to be seen whether the Bees can finally organize the hive and make it work. As for the rest of the roster, kovaQ and UNFAKE have both announced they are exploring new opportunities, while the futures of Kimmie “Kicks” Laasner and Less remain uncertain.
