Bruno “Neon” Rodríguez and Guilherme “blowz” Oliveira have reached verbal agreements to renew with LEVIATÁN for two years, according to information gathered by Sheep Esports.
The two players are part of the young roster that LEVIATÁN built around South American talent for 2026 and that won Masters London this year. Neon, who was named MVP of the tournament, and blowz were promoted from the academy roster at the end of 2025, after a dominant run in LATAM Challengers under coach Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro.
A season with a title and a missed Champions
LEVIATÁN’s 2026 began with a 5th-6th place finish at Kickoff, but the team improved in Stage 1, when it reached the final after an unbeaten playoff run and lost 3-2 to G2 Esports. That placement qualified LEVIATÁN for Masters London, where it went 2-0 in the Swiss Stage, beating Global Esports and NRG, lost to Paper Rex in the upper bracket and then beat Team Vitality 2-0 and EDward Gaming 3-0 in the lower bracket. LEVIATÁN beat Paper Rex 3-2 in the Grand Final and won the first international trophy in the organization’s history.
Stage 2 ended differently. LEVIATÁN entered the playoffs as a top seed, but lost 2-0 to 100 Thieves in the upper bracket and 2-1 to G2 in the lower bracket, finishing 5th-6th. The result left the team with 19 Championship Points, and as only the top two teams of Stage 2 qualified directly for Champions, LEVIATÁN missed Champions Shanghai despite being the Masters London champion.
Changes around the roster
The verbal agreements come as the roster changes around the duo.
Sheep Esports reported that Eduardo “
Sato” Nagahama is
set to join G2 Esports, replacing Jacob “
valyn” Batio, and that Francisco “
kiNgg” Aravena, LEVIATÁN’s in-game leader, is also
set to join G2, taking the spot left by Andrej “
babybay” Francisty and the in-game leading duties.
LEVIATÁN was selected as one of the eight partner teams in VCT Americas for the 2027-2028 cycle, as
reported by
Sheep Esports. The new cycle opens with Kickoff in São Paulo, from January 14 to February 7, with eight partner teams and four teams coming through the Open Qualifiers, and the top three advancing to Masters Seoul.
